A couple of weeks ago, our team returned from API World. We’ve officially had a few weeks to decompress and get back into the swing of things after an incredible time at API World 2025. Looking back, the experience was even more rewarding than I had imagined in my Pre-API World blog. This year was especially memorable for me, as I had the opportunity to attend my first tech conference and travel across the country for work.

I’m still buzzing from everything I learned and the people I met. For me, this conference was more than just a few days in Santa Clara; it was an opportunity to see firsthand how APIs are shaping the future of AI and to grow both professionally and personally.

When I wrote about my goals before the trip, I focused a lot on sharpening my marketing skills, practicing professionalism, and showcasing Procymock. While those things definitely happened, the real highlights for me were the personal growth moments, the unexpected connections, and the memories I’ll carry with me long after the event.

Professional Growth in Action

One of my main goals going into API World was to grow in confidence, whether that meant jumping into conversations on the expo floor or networking with people I just met. I can confidently say I came back from Santa Clara stronger in all of those areas.

I found myself introducing Soeedscale to people, but also representing myself as a young professional in marketing. Each conversation gave me a chance to practice clearly explaining complex ideas, while also listening closely to the challenges people are facing. That two-way exchange built my confidence in a way I couldn’t have replicated in a classroom.

Learning from Other Marketers

One of the most valuable parts of the conference for me, as a marketer, was connecting with other marketing professionals who are with their teams. These conversations provided me with insight into the various paths markets can take in tech, whether it’s product marketing, event marketing, or even field marketing. Hearing their stories and advice helped me picture what kinds of roles are the best fit for me after graduation.

That perspective was eye-opening. It reminded me that while marketing has a lot of universal skills, there are many different directions to go into. I left API World with more clarity about what excites me the most.

Highlights from API World

Beyond the sessions and professional development, API World gave me moments I’ll never forget. From seeing our booth backdrop and vibe coding shirts come to life after weeks of behind-the-scenes prep. To share laughs with my teams during downtime. Even met people who were genuinely curious about what I am learning as an intern. All of these memories remind me how special this opportunity was.

This was also my first time flying across the country for work, which made the trip even more memorable. Stepping outside of my comfort zone in that way made me feel more independent and prepared for the next chapter in my career.

One event I was really stoked for was the API Awards. These awards recognized the best and most innovative technologies in the industry, and it’s great to see so many amazing companies pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. I got to observe the award winners and nominees and got to understand what makes their products stand out.

Another big takeaway was observing how other companies communicated their value. As a marketer, I paid close attention to booth design, product messaging, and how teams explained complex solutions in simple, compelling ways. It gave me tons of ideas I’ll be bringing back to our own strategies at Speedscale.

Showcasing Proxymock

The most rewarding part of API World was watching developers’ reactions when we demoed Proxymock at booth #402. Seeing people connect the dots, realizing they could reproduce bugs locally in minutes instead of hours, or integrate Proxymock into their CI/CD pipeline with zero code changes, was a huge reminder of why our work matters.

One developer told me after a demo, “This could save my team days of frustration.” That’s the kind of feedback that makes all the behind-the-scenes prep worth it.

Our vibe coding shirts were also a hit, thanks to everyone who stopped by to grab one and chat!

Looking Ahead

APIs are the backbone of AI innovation, and the need for reliable, testable systems is only going to grow. Our mission at Speedscale is to help developers build with confidence, and after seeing the excitement around Proxymock, I’m more motivated than ever to keep spreading the word.

I left API World with so much more than just notes from the sessions. I came home with new skills, a stronger professional network, clarity about my career path, and memories that will stick with me as I move forward.

To everyone I met at the conference thank you for the conversations, advice, and inspiration. Big thanks to the Speedscale team for making this trip possible, thank you for trusting me to represent us on such a big stage. This was a milestone experience for me, and I know it’s only the beginning.
